Our first preview is tonight!
And what a wild ride we’ve been on! The madness ON stage is almost as insane as it is BACK stage, as each of us juggles a multitude of characters, costume and wig changes, props that run the gamut from cheerleader pom-poms, flashlights, flower pots, a straight-jacket, a typewriter, hard boiled eggs, and too many hats to even try and keep track of.
Not much ruffles our fearless leader, director Bill Castellino – he deftly worked our hat confusion into the show. (Meaning – come see our production of IONESCOPADE and you’ll see why it’s even better when we pick up the wrong hat!)
“A wacky, odd, and singular theatre event”
Bill Castellino describes the show as a zany musical vaudeville featuring mime, farce and parody – all balanced on the edge of madness, taken from the plays, playlets and poetry of ‘Theatre of the Absurd.’
